As all the villages of Ibiza, San Rafael is dominated by the church built in the late eighteenth century, with stunning views of Ibiza town with the castle and the port, busy with cruise ships and large ferries.

Another main feature of the village are the pottery workshops. San Rafael has been declared the only Zone of Artisan Interest in Ibiza due to the traditional pottery stores.
